ED THE SOCK vs SOCKO Match Added to Warrior 1 Event in Oshawa

In a match that’s sure to be one for the record books, Canadian television personality Ed the Sock will take on former WWE champion Mick Foley’s sock sidekick, Socko in the first ever sock vs. sock, no-holds-barred slobber knocker match at Warrior 1 Wrestling’s PRO WRESTLING LIVE event on June 26th at The Oshawa Civic Arena. Tickets for the event, which features wrestling legends Mick Foley, Jimmy “Mouth of the South” Hart and Kamala, as well as a host of other well-known wrestling names, are on-sale now through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.ca).

“I've made it a point in my career never to work with other puppets - but I'm not gonna work with Socko, I'm gonna work him over,” says Ed.

Ed The Sock, co-star Liana K and the crew will be shooting an up-coming episode of Ed's Night Party at the Warrior 1 event, giving everyone’s favourite sharp-tongued sock the opportunity to mix-it-up with wrestling legends and current stars.

One of the biggest wrestling events to hit Ontario this year, the show will also feature wrestling stars Gail Kim, Raven, Kid Kash, American Dragon, Chris Sabin, Samoa Joe, Team Canada (with Coach D’Amore), The New Church (Sinn and Slash) and many of Canada’s top wrestling talent.

VIP GOLD CIRCLE tickets are $45 (limited to the first 500) and include meet & greets with the wrestlers and a free, autographed poster. Doors open for VIP holders at 11 a.m. Floor tickets and RED section tickets are $30 and BLUE section tickets are $20. Doors open at 1 p.m. for all Red and Blue ticket holders and the show runs from 3 p.m.–6 p.m. The event will be taped by PWS for future Pay Per View and DVD releases.

In addition, Warrior 1 and The Great Canadian Wrestling Expo will team up to hold autograph signings and other events around Oshawa and The GTA in the days leading up to the event. A Rock ‘n’ Wrestling bowling event featuring many of the wrestlers will take place on Saturday June 25th from 6pm to midnight at Nebs Funworld (1300 Wilson Rd. North, Oshawa) and more events are in the works!
